A One-Man Show With A One-Dog Audience
Now, we all know that Bill is a pretty inventive guy. But installing
beams by himself? That's enough to make a surgery-wary wife quake in her
slip-ons. Or, flail her arms in front of her like a robot and warn, "Danger,
Will Rankin. Danger." Sure enough, through Bill's devotion to leverage
and wheeled devices, he was able to safely put these beams up as his very
own one-man show. He even had his trusty sidekick as his one-dog audience.
Nicki faithfully observed as Bill wheeled this way and that, levered here
and there, and even took his own photos. For the very last shove up, we
had a guest appearance by our friend Neil. The fretful wife is happy.

Bill uses any wheeled device
he can to save his back.

Off he goes towards the
new garage.

Up-sy Daisy. Not a manly
construction term, but you get the idea.

Oooching, ooching. Not ouching.

The beam is up on the scaffolding.

Levering it into place.

Neil arrives just in time for the final
shove.

Woo hoo!

The crowd goes wild.
