With A Little Help From Our Friends
In the summer of 2001, framing on the new garage began in earnest. And,
boy, did we receive some wonderful help from great friends. Mere words
cannot express our gratitude for the help we have received in the form
of advising, nailing, measuring, taping, and cutting. :-)
Bill and Mike pause after constructing a new work area
where lumber is stored underneath, and the counter serves as a surface
with which to feed wood into the saw at the far end. Bill is a shade-loving
guy, so this work area is covered.
|
Woo hoo! Bill and Mike pose in front of the very first
wall that goes up. MUCH excitement over this, let us tell you!
|
Randy, Annette, Scott, and Scott's first mate Bud talk
about the next phase.
 |
Bill the Photo Hound wants to take a photo with the
camera on a tripod and the shutter on a timer. He comes back to be
in the photo, but isn't quite sure if it's set right. It's not.
 |
We're still not quite sure if the shutter is set right.
It's still not.
 |
Check out the look on our faces. The shutter goes off
prematurely. Where's Bill? Oh, he's behind the camera!
 |
Finally, we get the shot we're going after. Enough already!
 |
Soni, Debbie, and Loretta try out the temporary tattoos
that we designed to maintain levity. "Born to Frame" is
a favorite.
 |
Stefan and Wayne help Bill with an area at the back
of the new structure.
 |
World traveler and carpenter extraordinnaire Dan gets
ready to feed wood into the saw.
 |
David and his creation -- part of what creates the peak
above the garage doors.
 |
Lee focuses intently on his work with the saw. We fully
support intense concentration when using power tools!
